Early Morning Structure Fire

First arriving fire units discovered fire and smoke from a second floor unit of a two-unit residential building. Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire and remained on location for approximately three hours. Two occupants of the ground floor unit were displaced during the fire and were assisted by the American Red Cross. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Ocean City Fire Marshal’s Office. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact the Fire Marshal’s Office at 410-289-8780.
