On 6 September 2010 at 1206 hours, the OCFD was dispatched to the Route 90 Bridge for a reported motor vehicle crash with injuries. Paramedic 3 arrived on scene to find a two car crash with multiple patients. Paramedic 3 requested three additional paramedic units. Captain Bishop ordered Ocean City Communications to also dispatch one Ocean Pines Paramedic unit. A total of four priority patients were transported to the Peninsula Regional Medical Center Trauma Center in Salisbury. The bridge was closed for approximately 45 minutes. Asst. Chief Kirstein had command of the scene.
