Phil Turk

Phil Turk is originally from Laurel, MD, and is a Salisbury University graduate.  He moved to West Ocean City in 1988 to raise a family and work as a Sales Manager with the Harrison Group.  Phil has been very active in the community and has served on numerous Boards & Committees including the OC Lions, OCHMRA, AUMC and OCPHC to name a few.

Phil joined the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company in 2002 when his son, Cameron, became a Cadet at the age of 14. Neither Phil nor Cameron had any fire experience, but Cameron's mother's side of the family has a long history in the OCVFC.  Since 2002, Phil has completed a lot of training and is a ProBoard Certified Firefighter I and II. He is also a two time winner of the Al Harmon Advanced Training Award.

Phil has been elected Chaplain many times over the years and is the first (only) OCVFC & OCFD member to be an Active Member of the Federation of Fire Chaplains. He has also been honored 2 times with the Member of the Year Award. Phil looks forward to serving the OCVFC and the community for many years to come.
