Lt. Mumford, and FFs Moseley, Lynch, and Maykrantz Successfully Complete MFRI's Firefighter II Program

The Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company is proud to announce that Lieutenant Patrick Mumford, and Firefighters Erik Moseley, Jack Lynch, and Connor Maykrantz have successfully completed the Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute’s Firefighter II Course.
The program was begun at Ocean City Fire Department HQ on 28 August 2023 and entailed 66 hours of classroom and practical instruction.
This program is an advanced course in firefighting concentrating on individuals functioning in a crew-leader capacity. It covers a multitude of topics including (but not limited to) incident command, building construction, ventilation, water distribution, hose streams, fixed fire protection systems, fire prevention, inspection preplanning, ladders, and rescue procedures. Methods of instruction include lecture, discussion, and team-focused practical exercises.
