FF Sandulli Successfully Completes MFRI's Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue Program

The Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company is proud to announce that Firefighter Tony Sandulli has successfully completed the Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute’s Technical Rescue: Common Passenger Vehicle Rescue Course.
The program was begun at the Powellville Volunteer Fire Company on 2 August 2023 and entailed 36 hours of classroom and practical instruction.
This program is MFRI’s introductory passenger vehicle extrication course and covers a multitude of topics including (but not limited to) planning for a passenger vehicle rescue incident; performing ongoing incident size-up; establishing scene safety zones; establishing fire protection; stabilizing passenger vehicles; isolating potentially harmful energy sources; determining access and egress points; creating access and egress opening; disentangling victims; removing packaged victims; and terminating passenger vehicle rescue incidents.
