Multiple Structures on Fire in West Ocean City - Harbor Road

At approximately 0153 hours, Ocean City 911 Center alerted Stations 700, 600, and 1100 for a reported building fire in the 12000 Block of South Harbor Road in West Ocean City. Deputy Fire Chief Moe Cropper (750) arrived on the scene to find a single-story house with a large attached garage, with fire showing and multiple exposures. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire and protect additional structures.
Two firefighters were injured during the fire; one with a shoulder injury was transported to Atlantic General Hospital. The second firefighter was transported by Maryland State Police - Aviation Command- Trooper 4 to the local trauma center with burns and smoke inhalation. All injuries are non-life-threatening.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office.
Station 70 (Bethany Beach) provided coverups duuring the incident.
