Communications
The Ocean City Public Safety Communications Center handles all emergency calls for service for the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company
Located at 65th St and Coastal Hwy on the bayside, the Enhanced 911 center operates an M/A Com Wireless (Formerly Com-Net Ericsson/GE) trunked 800 MHz analog and digital EDACS (Enhanced Digital Access Communications Systems) radio system.
We are alerted through Motorola Minitor III and IV VHF 2 channel voice pagers as well as portable and mobile EDACS radios. We use the M-RK I, M-RK II Scan, LPE-200, and MDX radios.
Several members of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Company are also fire dispatchers for the communications center which provides great communication between the organizations.
